Focus
By continually enhancing our formal education, we remain on the cutting edge of management reporting tools, tax legislation, and tax and financial planning tools. We remain in contact with relevant lending institutions, government representatives, and other legal and financial professionals, thereby keeping abreast of the local financial landscape and climate. When you ask us for financial assistance you are receiving up-to-date and relevant information.
Responsiveness
Many a time, advisors equate responsiveness with reaction. Our time-tested methodologies allow us to bring to your attention issues before they arise. Your interaction with us will be very different from your average interaction with an accountant. You will begin to see that in the right hands, the data/numbers are transformed into a powerful management tool, which will become indispensable to your success and your ability to plan for the future.

Our History
Donald Button CPA, PLLC was established in November 2002. Don’s first office was a small business suite on the top floor of an office building off W Friendly Ave in Greensboro.
In 2003, Donald Button CPA, PLLC was featured as the fasted growing new practice, using the NCI program. After initially providing an array of financial services for his clients, including taxes, bookkeeping, insurance, retirement plans, and payroll, Don decided to focus the firm on the services it provides today. Within a few years Donald Button CPA, PLLC grew its tax, bookkeeping, and payroll services enough to move into a bigger office.
In 2007, 2012-C New Garden Road in the Brassfield Professional Center became the new home for the firm. This is the time we moved to become a paperless firm - utilizing an electronic file cabinet and sending documents via our client portal system.
During the financial crisis of 2008, Don made sure each of his clients had the business, financial, and tax guidance they needed to make the best decisions for the uncertain times. While everyone was affected by the crisis in one way or another, Don made sure the client industries affected most knew he was available. Today most of his home builders and home service providers’ clients, remained in business and clients.
Following was another period of growth, both as a firm and for our clients. We continue to enjoy many relationships with clients from the first few years in business but we also find pride in seeing our clients outgrow our services and being a part of that growth. Since our inception, we have stayed true to our mission of providing the highest quality services to small and emerging businesses.
Our mission faced the biggest test yet in 2020 when the Coronavirus brought the entire economy to a halt. Donald Button CPA, PLLC was following official guidance closely because we knew our small business clients needed our help. We communicated current business and tax information and available opportunities to clients on a regular basis. We were able to process the necessary information to get our clients the PPP and SBA loans to stay afloat. We did not have any clients that were forced to close their business for good. Since the beginning, we have continued to give clients business advice, guidance for the loan forgiveness process, and help to get back to normal.
In 2022, we changed our name from Donald Button CPA, PLLC to Button & Button CPA, PLLC.
In 2023, Nick and Don started Button & Button Wealth Management LLC to help facilitate retirement and investing needs. Their new venture is available here: www.buttonwealth.com!
